I've been knitting quite a bit these last few months, but haven't posted. Mostly I've been knitting mittens, fingerless gloves and mason jar cozies galore. About a month ago my friends had their first child, a beautiful little girl named Chaya (it means life in Sanskrit and Hebrew). Prior to her birth she was simply called the bean and I knit her this hat with the request that there be no pink.

And this is that hat, modified from the pattern in SNBN.
Enjoy!

SO cute! And the packaging is pretty!

I called my baby the bean too. But now it's a fetus, so I just call it... Fetus.

BUNNY HAT!!!!!
Oh wow, you cannot tell how very excited I am over seeing this hat. I am a huge bunny hat collector!
Would you be willing to post your mods?  I would love to make one of these.
[It is so very, very adorable by the way] Cheesy

thanks!
the mods happened along the way and mostly involved making it smaller (so casting on fewer stitches etc.) to fit a newborn.
i also made a mistake in the back but instead of ripping it i worked it in (so the back has a band around it that flows to the front band). it is barely visible.
and obviously i left out the embroidery.
i'm sorry i write nothing down!

Smiley That's ok.  Any suggestions for making the bunny ears?  It looks like simple increasing/decreasing, but could you tell me how often you did it?
Sorry for the questions, it's just adorable. Smiley

Aw, this is so cute.  My daughter is developing a collection of animal hats (she's got elephant and bear currently), so I may have to make her a bunny hat.  Smiley

Ahhh! Precious!! You made it for a baby, but I would totally wear it. And my lad would probably steal it from me so he could wear it.

I love your packaging for it too. So pretty.
