My sister and I had a day of serious crafting and made five Birdie Slings - I LOVE this pattern!!!

My sis and I each kept one and then gave one to my mom, grandma and friend at work - I think I may make a few more when the sewing bug hits again!! Cheesy

I'm starting to really love these bags, I really like your fabric choices.  My mother in law sent an e-mail to me saying how much she loves these bags, I think i'll have to pick up the pattern and make one :-)

Your bags are lovely.  I like this pattern but find the interfacing daunting.  May I ask what you used to interface your bags?  They don't look as "puffy" as some that I've seen.  Thanks.

Squee!!  How wonderful!!  This is my all-time favorite bag pattern and your fabric choices are just splendid!

Your bags are lovely.  I like this pattern but find the interfacing daunting.  May I ask what you used to interface your bags?  They don't look as "puffy" as some that I've seen.  Thanks.

I've made this bag a couple of times.  I've tried the fusible fleece on the lining as the pattern calls for, but prefer a regular, mid-weight fusible interfacing on the exterior, main panels.  I'm also curious what other crafters have used!

Thanks everyone!

I actually used the fusible fleece for the lining as directed by the pattern and then a light weight interfacing for the exterior - I was a bit daunted at first by all the interfacing but it wasn't so bad and really makes the bag - in fact, I am in love with fusible fleece now!!! Smiley

What material are you using for those???

The brown with flowers and accompanying fabrics is all Michael Miller:

and the greeny blue flowers:

I picked them up at Craft Warehouse and my local quilt shop..... I love them and by looking them up for this post may have to buy some more in both lines!!
