I am getting married this fall, for the reception and my bouquet I want to make all my own flowers.  I have never really been one fore real flowers, they die.  And I am not so hot on everything being 1 or 2 colors.  The main color is going to be red, but the other color is "fall" thus anything I think looks fall is good enough.  Also the semi theme is going to be crafted flowers.
I made these ribbon roses, 8 down oh 100 more to go.  I also want to make coffee filter roses too.
Oh yeah, I got all the ribbon on clearance too!  YAY clearance flowers.

Anyone have some ideas for other roses/flowers I can make? I want the shape realistic, not necessarily the colors.

Origami roses are great... my favorite is:

(this one is the best tut even if its kinda grainy)
and this is great for the simpler rose bud (even if it is lots of short parts...)

Thanks.  I think i went through 100 webpages today to try to figure out how to make origami rose.  I made it, kinda looked like a sad ball.  But I might try it again Smiley  that video seems pretty good.

I think I posted this somewhere else but I'll post it here too...
When I was younger I used to make tissue paper flowers all the time and roll the tips in glitter glue.  It came out very pretty.  Especially white flowers with colored glitter.

Very pretty, the colors are just gorgeous!

Here are some realistic-ish fabric flower tutorials that I love:
Martha Stewart flowers with thicker fabric

Ribbon peonies

Delicate flowers made with a candle

barbolot's candle flowers are awesome too

Wow! These are beautiful! I'll have to bookmark this thread, as I'm thinking of making the flowers for my bouquet as well. Must keep my eyes out for pretty clearance ribbon! Tongue Good luck with your tons of flowers!
