I haven't, but it seems complicated from what I read..  the article I found said it thickens the lye solution  Huh    I'm getting tempted to just add some coconut powder to a regular base and call it a day Wink

I just made a batch of anise and peppermint and I just wanted to say it smells completely awesome!  The anise is a little sweet and the peppermint is nice and strong..  anyway, good combo if anybody's looking for a perky EO blend!

I saw it on Etsy and copied it like a jerk Wink  I'm still having a really difficult time pairing essential oils in a successful way..  finally today I found a store that had samples for sniffing...  I think I'm going to try Sweet Orange and Clove/Cinnamon next!

I love Orange and Clove! I always make it at Christmas time. I also love~

--Lime and black pepper
--Lemongrass-eucalyptus
--Orange and peppermint with a touch of eucalyptus, lemon, lime, whatever else sounds good (I use that in my Gardener's Scrub with calendula, orange peel powder, and poppy seeds. I might be forgetting an EO too)
--Mint (spearmint or peppermint) with Green Tea FO

Those all sound amazing Smiley  Just out of curiosity, what does Black Pepper smell like?  Does it have any harsh effects on skin?

It actually smells almost floral with a spicy pepper undertone. I've only used it in very small amounts in cp soap, but it looks like it can be used in creams as well for joint problems.

Here's some info on it~

Reading through this and making wishlists!  I've wanted black pepper EO for so long, but it is so expensive... sigh.  Maybe someday.

I know it's the season to start thinking about pumpkin and cinnamon, but I went through my FOs yesterday and am absolutely dying over yuzu and cucumber mint.  Think I might go whip up a batch of summer later, season bedamned!

What are y'all sniffing these days?

I'm having a little bit of a bergamot obsession haha Smiley  The next batch, I'm doing a kind of hemp-inspired thing (made with hemp oil and beer with hemp in it).  I think I'm going to do Bergamot, Lime and Patchouli EO's with a little lime zest..  after that, it's pumpkin time with cinnamon and clove Smiley
