We have another green swapper! Hooray!

Green means that you can send TO that person, if you're ready. Cheesy

Also, when you have finished with your birds, please send a picture to handmadebirds@gmail.com

Happy swapping!

I'm busy finding alternatives to polyfill stuffing. I have a small wad but you can't really buy it here.

Any ideas for substitutes?

I crafted one of my birds today down by the river with some old ladies. They sit about sewing then stand up and do tai chi every so often. It was quite enjoyable. They also helped me craft, contributing to the bird. It's not 100% how I would have made it, but it is an interesting story and I hope its new owner (rainbow_storms) appreciates the hand some very old Chinese women had in making her bird!

I decided it was time to pack up and go when two naked men arrived to bathe in the river and slap their bellies.  Shocked

I was PMing this to Jeane and figured I had to share this bizarre craft story.

Oh my gosh! YES! I am so excited that I am getting this bird! What a great story; I love when the things I get have this kind of background.

I have four done and one to go- hopefully I will get it finished tonight while watching Medium!

Confession: I kind of forgot about this swap. Cheesy I haven't started, really, but I found a pattern and some yarn for one of my birds. I'm still not quite sure how I'm going to do the rest - I can only knit a few rows a day - but at least it's something. I have a few ideas for the others, too.

Now, back to trying to make sense of a med school textbook...

Edit: Bird #1 is done! I think it's supremely adorable, and I have a strange urge to name it, and write silly little stories about it.

I just finished my first birdie tonight! I'll get another one or two done this week, and finish the rest the week after next. Next week is three papers: two 10-pagers and one 150-pager. I am so sick of school. Sad And so ready to have some pretty birdies to cheer up my dorm room! Cheesy
