Why not just simplify -
If there are only 6 (or of us signed up for 10 birds, why not just craft one of each of us. Unless someone has their heart set on more...

That's very true, this could all be a non-issue by the time signups close.

I had that idea too, but didn't want to over commit those who were only wishing to do 5 birdies. 

Anyway, it was just a suggestion from how this partnering has worked for us in the past for the sweat shop swaps.

If we work it out where it is more of an average (8 people, 8 birds) then I can do that. I just don't want to over commit since I now have a full time job (well, contract, but still full time!!!) and I don't want anyone to be mad if it takes a few more days.

I like the idea of getting birds from many places...its one of the reasons I picked to be part of this swap. 

If there was a need to send to 8 people (or even 10) I would do that too.  I picked 5 because I work FT too and don't want to over extend myself.  But I could make some sacrafice...frozen pizza and mac & cheese and lots of YoGabbaGabba...sorr y kiddo, Mommy is crafting!  Actually she would love it, I am sure since I am a mean Mom and we are only allowed one TV show per day...I know so MEAN!

Oooooh this would be AWESOME!!

Must think about it because supplies are VERY limited where I live (backwater China) so I will need to do some digging about to see what I can get.

I have a little bird in Australia who lives with my parents. Some little critters for my new place here would be lovely.

love the thought of this swap - going to send in swap info in a bit

one small thing on international - you can't send real feathers to some places if one wanted to use them on their birds - Australian is very fussy.
