I am in a Spring Doll Quilt Swap on another forum/board and wanted to share my creation with y'alls Smiley

She mentioned some flowers in her questionnaire, so I found this pattern (in dreary CW fabrics) and brightened it up for spring, using a WOW for the background and some snippets of my hand dyes and some commercial batiks...

I had some fun with the quilting, I did McTavishing in everyplace that was white and the back turned out just as lovely (IMO) as the front. I hope this picture shows it well enough:

The quilt is 17" X 21" total Smiley All done by machine except for the pesky bit of sewing the binding down.

OMG - what a wonderful doll quilt!  Will you make a full-sized one for my bed???  Pretty please???  Cheesy  Seriously, I LOVe this.  I might have to try a doll quilt - my nieces are into their dolls and might appreciate one, and my dd will eventually like one - plus, I could try out more intricate stuff and not get so bogged down as I would with a big quilt.

Love it.  Great work!

Thanks for the kudos Smiley

I'm not sure I'm up to doing this in a bed quilt *EEK!* Though it sure would be pretty!

The nice thing about doll quilts is they are small and easily conquered. Bed sized quilts can take so long you don't quite get them finished (speaking from personal experience here!).

Awesome!  I haven't made in mini quilts but I can see how the rewards would be enjoyed so much quicker!
