My brother, the hopeless romantic, bought his fiance a lovely pink .20 gauge for Christmas. (It's actually more appropriate than it sounds: my family [including my soon-to-be-sister-in-law] and I recreationally and competitively target shoot. So I think she actually wanted one!)

As badass as she is, she's also a girly-girl, thus the pink gun. My brother asked if I'd make a cosy for it. I had one day's notice so I ran to Jo-Ann's and found the perfect pink cameo fabric (my bro is in the military) and black quilted fabric, as well as sweet pink nylon webbing. The cameo fabric is that waffle-weave stuff used for PJ's. It is a pain in the ass to sew with. I was up into the wee hours of the night but it was worth it!

You can see the pink woodgrain stock of the gun here.

Handy loop for hanging the empty case. I think it's strong enough to support the weight of the gun too if she wanted to hang it as well.

I was originally going to put the pink cameo as the lining with the black on the outside for a more subdued look, but I had a change of heart, and I'm glad I did. Imagine the looks on the Good Ol' Boys' faces when she steps out on the range with this little number and whips out her sweet pink shotgun! Hope you enjoy. :-)

Great job, I love it!  She will never lose her gun case on the range.   Grin

Monica Elaine: I didn't use a pattern; I simply folded the fabric in half and then traced the gun (leaving a generous amount of space). I used one of my Dad's cases as a reference point.

And thank you everyone for your kind words :-)

My dad has for years, joked about getting me a pink shotgun.  Now that I'm old enough, of course, he keeps saying I should get it for myself.  We'll have to see how that goes.. Smiley

The case though, is wonderful and I think I've seen a very similar shotgun. Great job!
