So, I've been looking at the flat rate box swaps that they do in the US, and I saw that there had been discussion about doing one in the UK but it never really got off the ground. Would anyone be interested in doing one now?

Here are some links to the US galleries...

I'd probably be up for this, sounds like fun!  Smiley - what postal service were you thinking of? - we don't have flat rate... do we?

Well the Royal Mail say...

Quote
Standard Parcels is ideal for items up to 1.5m long and 20kg in weight, provided the combined length and girth doesnt exceed 3m. We can collect parcels from your office as part of your regular business collection.

Obviously it depends on how much each person wants to send, but we can either set that in the swap guidelines or that can be decided between partners. My feelings are that I'd be happy to spend a bit more on postage than I would normally because I wouldn't be spending any money buying supplies. The lowest price is 4.20 for up to 2kg, going up to 14.26 for up to 20kg. All the details are here --> http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/jump2?catId=400028&mediaId=400031
