My swap partner has received so I can finally show you guys my latest quilt - this one is a modified modern drunkard's path.... I had originally wanted to make her a love beads quilt and my library does not have the Modern Quilt Workshop - too bad too.... so I searched for something else and came upon a site that had templates for drunkard's paths... and one of them had a half circle in it and I immediately saw this quilt and knew exactly what I wanted to do with it...!

Here it is - my modified modern drunkard's path turned in to a modern wall hanging!

This was the first time I had sewn the semi circles - it is all pieced - no applique involved at all.  I am definitely going to make one of these for my own bed.. that is on my to do list.  Now to find all the oriental fabric that I am thinking of making it out of......
Usually I quilt/stipple much closer together but for this one I wanted to go simple.

I also made friends with my walking foot and do not know how I ever lived without it...!

Yikes, you are braver than I am!  I've looked these patterns over but always stayed away from sewing in circular.  If you're brave enough for it, maybe I should be too  Grin

That's great!  I love how many different variations there can be to one quilt square.  I like the color scheme and the quilting looks good too.

Beautiful.  The colors are awesome.  It is amazing how many ways a traditional pattern can be modernized.  What site did you find the templates on?

This looks great. And I love the black/white look - I've just made one myself and I'm please with how it turned out. I have a circles quilt as my next project, you've inspired me to start cutting!
