While I was decluttering my room, I realized I was sick of storing 4 huge sketchbooks, so I decided to do something about it.  The sketchbooks- 4 years of high school's worth, were filled with pages of different images... some good, some not so good.  The 'good' ones I added put in my portfolio, and I was left with a humongous stack of paper full of pain, happiness, confusion, excitement.  I couldn't just throw those emotions away.  It would have been such a waste... "of paint, of tape, of time". -Bright Eyes

"But just then my knees give under me
My head feels weak and suddenly
It's clear to see it's not them but me
Who's lost my self-identity
And I hide behind these books I read
While scribbling my poetry
Like art could save a wretch like me
With some ideal ideology
That no one could hope to achieve
And I'm never real, it's just a sketch of me
And everything I've made is trite and cheap
And a waste
Of paint, of tape, of time"

I think this is super duper nifty Smiley Your idea to add everything together and make a big mixed up jumble of your HS emotions is really awesome! Its the type of picture that someone at a gallery would just spend hours sitting/standing looking at trying to figure out each feeling and story of each part of the whole picture....great job Cheesy and Bright Eyes rocks...I love how you connected your picture to the lyrics

"Well-behaved women rarely make history."

also i like the collage!  some really neat drawings in there, despite the implication of the lyrics (i like the cellphone one especially)

creative criticism always appreciated!
