Excellent Challenge! This really inspired me.
I really enjoy early Cake's beat style poetry, it sets my imagination on fire! One of my favorites - Mr. Mastodon Farm, from Cake's first album - Motorcade of Generosity.
"Mr. Mastodon Farm"
Birds fall from the window ledge above mine.
Then they flap their wings at the last second.
You see birds fall from the window ledge above mine.
Then they flap their wings at the last second.
I can see their dead weight
Just dropping like stones
or small loaves of breadPast my window all the time.
But unless I get up,
Walk across the room
And peer down below,
I don't see their last second curves
Toward a horizontal flight.
All these birds just falling from the ledge like stones.
Now due to a construct in my mind
That makes their falling and their flight
Symbolic of my entire existence,
It becomes important for me
To get up and see
Their last second curves toward flight.
It's almost as if my life will fall
Unless I see their ascent.
Mr. Mastodon Farm,
Mr. Mastodon Farm,
Cuts swatches out of all material.

I present my interpretation.... SMALL LOAVES OF BREAD falling past my window all the time.,,,

I saw this challenge and had to do it! I took some muslin I had and fiberfil, and sewed a little loaf of bread with plushy wings. It's got a cut up wire hangar in holding the wings up and a Macguyver style middle including tape and matchboxes to hold the wings up... here's some more action photos in our backyard! (Yes.. I live in AZ.. my orange tree is blooming and it smells WONDERFUL!
