Will do!
I probably won't be able to post sign-up for another couple weeks, at least until finals are over with.  I'm at freak out stage right now. Smiley

Oh, I completely understand. When finals come around everything you know you begin to second guess.

I'm in!! I love the Series of Unfortunate Events books, my husband makes fun of me because he says I read little kid books. Little does he know how addictive they are!

Haha! My bf says the same thing. (about these and Harry Potter)
Okay, I'm going to post the signups in May, and have sendout sometime in June.  I'm currently in more than the allotted # of swaps, and several of you may be in the same situation.
So is May/June cool with everyone?

I love The Series of Unfortunate Events books! The movie is okay, but if you are a hard core fan you will probably be disappointed. The movie takes a lot of creative license. Parts of the books are cut up and randomly shoved where ever. Only the first three books are credited, but I see plot lines up to at least book number nine. The cinematography is excellent, as is the costume design. The credits have a neat little cartoon running during it that is definately worth seeing.

I would definately be interested in this as a swap! I am in no rush, but please keep me posted as to when it is going to start. I have a pair of earrings that I already made. They look like something that Esme' would wear.

I completely agree with what you said about the movie.

I thought they set it up well, but squashing in the first three books was silly because, in my opinion they could have made a movie for each one, they left out alot of my favourite parts and i thought it was way to brief for each book.

It made it seem like exactly the same story three times and it didn't give enough time for the characters to develop (Uncle Monty etc)

BUT the costumes were great though i dont think i would have been able to follow it if i hadn't read the books

i would like to do this swap, but i dont think i am talented enough to make anything from the movie.

have fun with this swap!

Pink_Hula - Don't be discouraged I'm sure you can think of something to make. You could always make pins, bracelets, or earrings. Shrinky Dinks offer you a lot of possibilities. For instance Esme is a great source of inspiration for me (remember her eye handbag, eye earrings,  stilettos, and a good pin-striped suit.). You could also make a VFD crow hat.

I agree. Pink hula, swaps are great fun- don't fret about your skills. I'm sure you could make something wonderful. After all, you are cool as it is for reading these books.   Cheesy
