I'd like to find thrift, bead, and fabric shops while I'm there. I'll be there April 20-24 and will be relying on the Metro.

Potomac Bead Company is on King not too far down the street from King Street Metro. Also there is a bead store in DuPont Circle off the metro. Check out the thread about beadstores below for more information.
