She also fille the box with small sead beads and tiny little pearl beads and a lovely little blue facetted gem (no pics camera wouln't do supermacro). I can see some very lovely jewellery being made of this loot!

This gallery is full of awesome!  I love how different everyone's matchbox turned out.

I'm posting a couple pics for craftydame.  Hers arrived yesterday but she won't be around for a few days.  The pictures are pretty craptastic though.  It was early and dark when I took them, plus I think I forgot to set the macro on my camera.

There's the sacred heart matchbox (my attempt at it anyway), some buttons-silver girl riding a horse, red whinnie the pooh, and a couple bat ones that I altered; a mini origami book with scrabble tile size pictures; some packing tape transfers-a happy banana, halloween cat, girls holding hands; red embroidery thread; black ribbon and a few bits of paper.

I cheated though, the ribbon and advertisement paper were wrapped around the box. 



a couple pages from the book...these are so fun to make!!



I just hope she likes it.  Everything she makes is amazing and I'm still trying to figure out how not to get glue all over everything.

Those unicorn beads are adorable as well... My daughter is bouncing around asking me to get some like that for her.

To answer your question, yes, it was a regular matchbox.  I just sliced along the edge of the sleeve and glued the inner box part down (after decorating the two parts separatly!).  Erm, I hope that makes sense, LOL!

Hey everyone, we have many boxes sent and received but it seems we are having some communication problems.  Please don't forget to pm both the organizer and your partner when you send and receive.  I understand we get busy and forget, even I forgot to PM one of my partners before I posted pics, things happen, but let's all try to be more careful.  There are a few people out there that I still have not received any pm's from on whether they've received or sent.  Please take care of this soon, as I don't want to have any flakers or have to leave negative feedback for anyone.  Thanks.

On a happier note, the boxes that have been posted so far are wonderful.  I can't wait to see what is still to come.

I just got a lovely matchbox from Lindyv321, which I then proceeded to photograph upside-down, because I wasn't paying attention.  Oops.  Perhaps we can all turn our monitors sideways one way, and our heads sideways the other to admire it?   



Anyway, here it is-- I think my favorites are the compass and the second glass (like an hourglass, only much, much quicker...) but the tiny keys and the bottle are definite runners-up!    Much cuteness!  (also, oddly enough, my fiance is a great fan of penguins.)
