I know that I_am_138 has been busy with work and such, so I hope I'm not stepping on any toes if I post a pic of the necklace I crafted for her...  Embarrassed

It was such a blast to work with her suggestions of skulls and safety pins using the materials I could rustle up around the house! I definitely will be experimenting more with safety pins and beads as I really liked the "chain" it produced...

Anyway, enough rambling, here's the legend pic!

And two close-ups:

Wow Mlheran! I love the necklace, the experimentation with safety pins was awesome and the result speaks by itself. Great, great job!

mlheran : that's great! I love the safety pin "chain" - I'd love to experiment with that technique myself!

I hate that I forgot to take photos of my necklace that I sent ThatsWhatSheSaid, but I thought I'd describe it at least!  I used clear rubber tubing and filled it with purple seed beads, then used straight pins to attach various charms.  The center charm was a toy rubber birdie hanging on a wire, and the others were random junk that went out symmetrically from the bird.  I used ribbon to tie it.  I was so proud that I didn't buy a darn thing for it, but I'm kicking myself for not taking a photo!
