So, every year, I volunteer at a haunted house at my community center.  I've gotten semi decent at doing the cheesy, overdone makeup, but recently I was bored, and decided to put my makeup skills to a more artistic (and a bit more realistically gruesome) use:

And apparently, some of my friends (who only saw the above picture of the "black eye") didn't believe that it was makeup...so to prove that my boyfriend ISN'T abusive, I took these pictures as well:

The black eye is a few different shades of blush (purples, pinks, and reds, highlighted in the right places), and the "blood" on my lips is some red "body" makeup stick (aka, you can use it as lipstick, eyeliner, or whatever...I LOVE this stuff--got it during Halloween, but I use it for everyday makeup and it looks fine, too...only $2, and it's not even halfway gone!!).

And here's one of my haunted house makeup (a bit more cheesy, but it needs to be--the haunted house is so dark that everything needs to be over-emphasized Wink) :

It was done with white face makeup, black "body" makeup stick for the eyes, red "body" makeup stick for the lips, and fake blood for the cuts.

Please tell me what you think!   Smiley

That is absolutely beautifully done. I always love it when makeup is used for something other than dolling you up - quite the opposite here, and it's just about the coolest thing ever.

It's gotta be amazing working in a Haunted House. Haha.

The haunted house is a BLAST--the one I volunteer at is completely homemade, so I usually help from start to finish (provided that I have the time to that year)--I help build it AND act in it.  Very, very fun Smiley

Oh this brings back memories! I wanted to be a make up artist for so long, so as a young teen I would "batter" all my friends! Took a few times to get the look right, but it was worth it =D Great job! I think I will look into the make up artist thing again!
