Hey,

Has anyone made Thai fisherwoman pants before?? I am keen to give them a go but want to make them out of only two flat panels instead of the extremely odd arrangement which make up the pair that I have.  Huh

I have only one pair and I have been LIVING in them for months - I would like to have some new pairs but since they got trendy they also got expensive.....

I'll post a pattern/tutorial once I've got them right.

Oops, sorry, wrong forum. I'll repost. Sorry!!

Hi Glitterbug~

I wish you luck in finding a pattern.* I think the odd arrangement (?) might just be an important step in getting the pants to fit the way that they do.  (i'm only guessing tho!) I'll look forward to seeing what pattern/tut you come up with. ;)

For anyone who might be intersted in seeing these pants~

follow the link on "how to wear them" for a few good jpg's.
They're so comfortable!

I don't have any instructions for you, but I have to tell you that I liked those pants so much I dreamed about them last night!

I didn't dream their correct construction, though --  I dreamed I was trying to put some on and there was only a front and no back.

hmm.. i tried to look for a picture of these pants cause I have never heard of them.. and i found this..

Waist : 54" = 137cm
Hip : 54" = 137cm
Length : 44" = 112cm

i looks like its just basically a square.. so maybe if you cut out a 54" x 44" square and sew it like pants?  i dunno.

I've never seen them before either.  Some one should post a pic.

Hey guys,

I bought a bolt of calico on the weekend (I prefer to cut patterns off my favourite clothes and practise with calico) and made my first pair of these smashing trousers!! They worked really well. I bought some more fabric this morning inclusing some fabric which will make really great "posh" pants - that will still be dead comfy and gorgeous.

I'll post a tut as soon as I get my camera back.

PS Hijole thanks for that link - looks very much like the pattern I made.
