I choose for my entry the song, Greensleeves.  So I made green sleeves!  See!

The song is from 16th Cent. England.  At that time, sleeves were made so you could detach them from your outfit to change the look of the dress or clean them.  (Cleaning clothing at that time was a boar!)  I used an out of print Simplicity pattern and some green fabric I got for free.  I'm planing to attach the sleeves to outfits with pins.

Seeing that the song is about love gone bad.  I put a little hart on the cuff of each sleeve.

Mmm I love the song greensleeves. Written by a king for his queen.. who he shortly had beheaded. Life's a bitch.

Oh, I'm going to wear them.  I'm in the SCA, where you can never have too many sleeves! Grin

(P.S.  I am working on a full out fit to go with the sleeves.  I'll post the full garb on the costume board.)
