I painted this mini for a D&D game a few months ago.  I love painting minis, but I'm not very good at photographing them, so I hope you all can see her ok.  The last picture is her unpainted on the stand she came with, and let me say that it is totally impractical to try and mount a metal figure that probably weighs half a pound on a thin, soft metal toothpick, which is why mine is resting on a polymer clay rock.

Ooo- I've never really thought of painting minis as a craft... just sort of part of gaming... This means I do another craft!! Hurray!! I love the coloring you used on her- good camouflage. =) I also think you did a really good job on the details, like the suction thingies on her tentacles. It can be really difficult to get that tiny detail looking right and you nailed it. Keep up the good work. I'm sure your gaming group loves having such nice minis to play with.

Thank you so much for such nice words.  We do indeed enjoy having nice minis one the table, though it's usually only the bad guys who end up fully painted.  I wish I had time to paint mini's for all the characters, but somehow I never seem to find it :p

My games were always the opposite. Our characters were painted out, and the poor bad guys were simply primed black. Then again, villains never lived long in our campaigns... we tended to slaughter just about everything. Wink
