My Sister's colors for her baby are pink and brown and i found a ball of cotton in both those colors(on sale too=) )
These things are so easy to knit!

I want to make these for my grandbaby and have looked at the pattern but am confused.  What does M1, make one, using backward loop mean?  An increase?
