For my project, I took the song "Rose" from the movie Titanic and took the swim dress which is the dress she wore during that scene and made it for Barbie. I used no patterns, only my own senses as to where things should go.

I was also able to accomplish this dress without sewing AT ALL. The clear beads are glued on to the bodice, and everything else is tied or otherwise held on (no pins or anything).

The dress was also entirely made from scrap material...

I hope you guys like my project!

(BTW, this is my first post here... kinda nervous Smiley )

Hey- don't be nervous. People here are either supportive, or else they keep their opinions to themselves.  Wink

I like the dress, nice work
I always wanted to make some dresses for my barbies - but I'm too lazy to search for them in the attic - they must be there somewhere... hm

btw - my post to this challenge has also been my first post (and I'm still nervous...) - so hello from a newbie to a newbie Wink

Titanic was the the theater when I went to prom. I searched high and low for this exact dress. If only I had seen this, I would have attempted making it myself. Great job!

LOOKING FOR A PERSONAL SWAP: I'm hoping for dinosaur-themed Xmas crackers, or other dinosaur Xmas items. I can make a Jayne Cobb hat, or many other things!
