So, instead of knitting a scarf block for the Traveling Scarf Swap that I am like 2 rows from finishing, I sat here for the last half hour reading all 17 pages of this thread.

I am definitely bookmarking this one to see what everyone sends out.  If I had a spot open, I would probably be signing up for this one too.  Maybe next round.

Hi neighbor. Cheesy  Let me know as soon as you hear from jellobird1 (though I should be autimatically PM'd anyways) about receiving your inchies.  As soon as that happens, I can wave my magic wand and give you an open spot.  For all I know then (though I could be wrong), this might be the first swap with three Milwaukeeans in it (nevermind I am no longer in Milwaukee  Cry, but close enough  Wink).  I want you in this. Cheesy

Hi All,  just catching up & trying to read as many of these posts as I can - there's certainly some very interesting and from the sound of it talented people in this swap.

My daughter hasn't been too good - had tonsils out on Sat, and been back in hospital twice with bad hemorrhaging.  She's stable now and in a room of her own again.  I'm home for a bit of a break from all the stress and hospital stuff. This swap will no doubt cheer me up.

I should have added in my info that I love heart shapes - no particular reason, not romantic or anything soppy like that, I just love their shapel'ajfewoahw'rhwoeih - sorry kitty just jumped on lap top!! Smiley Smiley

Thanks.  I think Paul (that's the cat) is missing her, as he is even more meowee than usual.  He's such a softie -I'll give him extra cuddles.  Such a shame you are allergic - you should get one of those hairless ones.  Saw a really strange one on TV the other day,  looked a bit like a baldy lion - strange but cute.  I'll google it and post the link if I find it.  He lives in a vet hospital somewhere in America.

Here's the link - he's called ugly bat boy (I knew it was ugly and bat, but not sure why or in what order:))

This picture is none too flattering though.

He looks like a lion.  Hairless cats are actually supposed to be really nice cats. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sphynx_(cat)  I'm still not sure if I could look at them for too long.  Shame on me.  *sigh* kitties.

Get someone to craft you one Smiley  Or make one yourself -check out this site.  The fennec fox is cute, and the pomeranians are adorable (I know these are puppies, but give them a cute crystal colar and they could pass as a cat)

I love this site.  I've made so many things from here.

Okay, so I was 'peer pressured' into joining by Mom (crazyred). Thanks, mom!

Username: kali_akash (not anime related, it's after the Hindu goddess Kali and 'akash' means 'ether'/'spirit' in Sanskrit)

I identify as: I like guys AND girls, but I noticed that I mainly chase the guys. I've been in various stages of love with a girl here, though, and it's a joke around the lunch table here at school.

Coming out story? I've always known that I liked girls and guys, but as I said, I've been chasing the guys' pants rather than girlie ones for most of my life. When I went to boarding school in a nearby town I dated a bit but ended up in a serious relationship with a girl that I later then moved in with. It was a fun year. Smiley I recently told my parents, Dad first, and it was all cool. They were both really awesome about it (it might help that quite a few members of my family are gay/lesbian). The day I decided to officially come out to my parents I had a discussion about transgender and intersex people in Psychology class, and a guy responded to a question about being gay with an answer that started with "Well, being a gay guy myself....". Most of my friends have already accepted my being 'straight with a pronounced curve', and those who haven't, well, too bad for them.

Favorite crafts to do? I am totally in love with my ceramics class, though it doesn't hurt that the girl I like sits next to me everyday Wink I love painting, ceramics, writing, drawing, sewing, I can at least STAND doing cross-stitch (I've officially done it once, for a candy/sweets swap, and totally hand-drew the pattern! I'm so proud of myself!), knitting, crocheting, and beading. I love making jewelry, and I'm getting into reconstructing clothes and such (just finished pinning up a red polyester button-up blouse into what's going to be a Chinese-style 'silk' jacket with brocade trim for my adopted daughter). It's awesome.

Crafts I'd like to receive? I like just about everything! I can't think of anything I wouldn't like, at least.

Favorite colours: (stolen from questionnaire) various shades of blue, red, white, silver, gold, brown, purple, black, turquoise and green, and I like combinations (such as black/green, black/gold, gold/blue, etc), and grudgingly like shades of pink.

High heels or flats: I love high heels, even though I'm already like, 5'8''. I absolutely LOVE my 3'' heels, but they don't like my feet (and believe me, they don't like them much either!) I like flats, sometimes, too. It just depends. Do they have Jack Skellington on them? If so, I'm on that like white on rice! Cheesy

Cute or creepy: Both, but not at the same time

If you were granted one wish, what would you choose? Well... First to get another million or so wishes! Then I'd wish for the genocides in Darfur, Congo and Burma to be resolved and the survivors to be getting MAJOR reparations. THEN world peace. And money. Lots of money. And the ending of world hunger..and...and.. and.. Smiley Smiley Smiley

Who would you like to deliver your package? DEREK JETER. He is just SMOKIN'! And if he had Misty May-Treanor with him.... Yayness!

1 really expensive thing or a whole bunch of thrifty finds? Well, thrifty finds tend to be awesome, but I'm down with a good expensive thing every so often too.

Additional information: I'm a big singer, and music is like, my LIFE. I love it. Loveitloveitloveit! Art gets like that too. I've been in a relationship with my boyfriend Matt for the past two months and counting, totally enjoying it, but I'm not sure if he's aware that I'm kinda fluid in my sexuality. Who knows..that reminds me, we should probably talk about that.. I have seven cats, all named after countries! It's pretty cool. I love this show Titus, it was on Fox for a few seasons and really should've stayed on the air! I'm so sad that it isn't anymore...so I go Google Cristopher Titus, stand up comedian extraordinaire and a main character in the show (it's based on his life). I love it. Life is good.

Uhmm.... I love Derek Jeter? And Tim Burton! He could do no wrong! Any Tim Burton is great! I'm an activist for the end of genocide worldwide, and if you ask me, I can talk and talk and talk about it.
