This is in honor of my father: Daddy, you're the BEST!!!

When I was 4 my Dad gave me my first record player, this 45 was the first record he ever gave to me, (this was in 1977) and to this day I still have this record. Ever since I was little this has been my all time favorite song.

So why crochet scrambled eggs you ask? The tune for Yesterday came to Paul McCartney in a dream, he work up, wrote the music, bugged his friends for months asking if they had ever heard of this tune, he was worried he had heard it before.

It would take several years before Paul wrote the lyrics that we now know, so until then he titled it "Scrambled Eggs".

Every time I have heard this song for the past 31 years, it is like I am hearing it for the very first time, and it also makes me think of my Daddy!

Boy I came soooo close to doing something for Strawberry Fields Forever, because it is right up there with Yesterday as far as my all time favorite songs.

By the time I was 7 I had already worn out 2, not 1, but 2 Sgt Pepper's records, and was woking on wearing out Magical Mystery Tour! LOL!

My Dad has since given me all of his records from when he was a young man, with all his Beatles' records. My Dad is awesome!

Yesterday makes me think of my father too! My husband and I actually own every Beatles album on vinyl. We inherited them from his father. My dad was a HUGE Beatles fan and he actually got to see them in concert in Mexico (paid $8 for his ticket). Said he could hardly hear the band sing due to all the screaming girls.
