michowl received a while ago but hasn't been able to post pictures, so I'll go ahead and post a few of what I sent her. Unfortunately the pictures aren't the greatest quality and I didn't get shots of everything, but here's what I have.

First the box--this was a plain wooden box that used to hold a card game. I painted it and added a label to make it look like a box of cocoabeetles. The number 8 on the side is polymer clay.

A button eyed squid, made from fleece. The eye is polymer clay.

An Other Mother button box. The colors are weird in the pictures but in real life they're closer to the movie. Also, the stripes do line up properly, but I accidentally put the lid on backwards in this picture.  Cheesy

A polymer clay key to Otherworld:

A circus mouse hat:

A tie for her boyfriend. I took a thrifted white silk tie and hand dyed it, then added the buttons.

And the one thing I didn't photograph was a tote bag. It was made from hand dyed vintage upholstery fabric and a button-and-crossbones applique. Hopefully michowl will be able to post pictures of that when she gets the chance. This swap was a lot of fun to craft for! Hopefully I'll be getting my package soon so I can post more pics!  Smiley

I want to thank lovething for the amazing package!!! also, for posting pictures for me!  Grin  I'm re-posting her pics, cause they were really good, and I'm going to add a couple more.  also at the end of the post, i'm going to put teaser pics of her package, that should be getting to her this week.

Here is a pic of the awesome tote she made me.  A lot of people that have seen the bag love it!

Here is me in my favorite hat ever!!

A button eyed squid, made from fleece. The eye is polymer clay.

An Other Mother button box. The colors are weird in the pictures but in real life they're closer to the movie. Also, the stripes do line up properly, but I accidentally put the lid on backwards in this picture.  Cheesy

WOOOOOOOOOO! I got my awesome package from shdwstrm today and everything is so amazing!

First was this super cool little vintage cigar box, which unfortunately vintagely fell apart when I picked it up  Cry

But here's what was in the awesome little box: A super cute button zipper pouch, coraline-blue nailpolish, a beautiful seeing stone pendant, button earrings in a sweet little other mother box, and some lovely canadian souvenirs.

I tried to capture some of the awesome swirl and shimmery detail, but it's so much better in real life, of course.

A super cool button covered journal

A gorgeous knit messenger bag to look like Coraline's

The cutest Coraline doll!

aaaaand some awesome extras: smarties yum! genuine canadian maple syrup YUM and some of those little grow pills lol i used to love those things when i was a kid and i've already put some in water to watch them grow (still a complete kid at heart)

And of course I have to give a great big thanks to shdwstrm for putting so much love into such and awesome package for me!

**Package from MalibuKasey**
Grin We got our package today!! Grin

We are so excited about the goodies that were inside!! It was a huge box. I should have taken a picture!

Look at this adorable tin! I love it! It held Coraline color nail polish. Courtney gets the polish.  But I get to keep the tin.  Wink

The squid toy from the other room. It's so cute!! It came in a great cigar box too. It's going to live on Miss C. bed with her skelanimals. I think it will be happy there.

Look at this super sweet box!! It's amazing! Courtney is going to use it to keep her special treasures in. It does have a *C* on it afterall.  Grin

(In singing voice) I got an MK poppet! I got an MK poppet!  I lalalalove every poppet she has ever made and have been longing for one of my own.  Grin & it's a sweet little Coraline dolly. I'm such a happy camper! I forgot to take a picture of her with out her coat on. I'll do that in a little while and it here too.

Here's a link to her new pictures without her coat on.  Wink

MK learned to knit! Do I have your first project?
I am going to keep it with my Coraline, although I think it's a neck warmer.  Wink  I haven't looked for button holes yet though.  Love it all the same.

Edit to add...cowl! I could not think of that word to save my life earlier. I will use in the winter, but it is still going to sit with Coraline for show.  Wink Because it just looks so cute with her.

Again, too cute! Courtney saw this and thought it was so cute. We both love the shape and have never seen a box like this.

And then, we opened it...

& saw this! Courtney's face was like Reagan's when she saw her box! lol
She freaken loves it!  It's a t-shirt, but folded it in half so the image would be bigger in the photo.

Look at the cute box she made.

&

What was in it! It's so pretty. This we will both wear! I love all the colors of Coraline & the buttons. I do love buttons.

A group shot! MK, we love everything so much. Thanks for being a super amazing swap partner! We <3 U!  Wink

* Grin *There will be a link to pictures of goodies from teaparty below* Grin *

yea!!! We have pictures!!

Awesome package nezbutt & athenaknits?.

Love that bag.

***she sent everything with its own little rhyming description on little cards***
oops, that totally reminds me that I forgot the note! I'm going to have to send MK a cryptic note so when she opens the box she knows what's what.  Wink

Especially when she opens the box and there's a half bag of stuffing on the top!  Shocked
Didn't have any paper to crumple to fill the box, so I used the bag of stuffing knowing she would be able to use it.  lol Wink
