Hey crafty peeps! The song I decided to craft is Hell by the Squirrel Nut Zippers. You can see a video of it here - http://www.mtv.com/videos/squirrel-nut-zippers/10096/hell.jhtml I just love the Squirrel Nut Zippers, and oh, the horns in this song! I wanted to make something really special out of it, so I decided to make a large scale sampler. I used samplers from the 1800's as inspiration -one for the Lord's Prayer and one called On Needlework, both of which I saw in this book -  http://www.rubylane.com/shops/suzanstreasures/item/B-150

Here's what I came up with:

I love the frame I found for it:

Here's a close-up of the text across the bottom:

The frame is 8 by 10 to give you an idea of the scale. Hope you like it!

Crosstitch has always fascinated me. I do not have the patience for it, but have always wanted to do one. Some day....... Great work!

I love that song, too!  The quaint sampler is a really great contrast to the lyrics.

I like the colour palette on this.
I like the composition...

Actually, I like the whole thing. I could go in to more detail but let us all just bask in the stitched magnificence of it!  Grin
