I don't know if this has been done before but a few of us were talking about it on another thread

I figured it could be set up like an ongoing swap so you get to pick which patterns you want. On the other hand, some of them would prefer to have clothes made from the pattern(s) that they send so I guess that should be included in the questionnaire.

Any ideas/suggestions? Is anyone else up for this?

Throw my name in for consideration!  I've got some great vintage patterns that will be looking for a new home!

Have a fabulous day!  Grin

I'll make stuff in return for vintage patterns.

Or I'll trade vintage patterns for MORE vintage patterns.

OR I'll make copies of simple patterns with expired copyrights.

I have an interesting assortment of patterns, old & new. I even have a couple duplicates of Vogue Designer patterns from the 70's. I would be very interested in swapping patterns.
I may be interested sewing things from patterns if they actually fall into the standard Large $30/ 3 hours or less. I have a number of patterns that I would swap but not make the item for trade as they would exceed the Large rating by a lot. Conversely I have a few patterns I'd be happy to make for others that there is no way I'm parting with the pattern. I think it would have to be set up like Shop the Swap or IYP with two categories: 1) things offered for swaps, 2) things I can make to swap for.

I don't have patterns to trade but I can sew, knit, spin, etc, So I would trade one of those skills for patterns. If this is OK please include me too!!!

I have several patterns and would be interested in trading/swapping patterns.  I have women's and children's clothing patterns, craft sewing patterns, home decor sewing patterns, and doll clothes patterns (modern and vintage).  I also have cross stitch patterns.

Want to swap for:
1) Vintage patterns 1979 and earlier

Have to offer:
1) Vintage patterns (men, women, children) 1940s-1990s (majority 40s-70s)
2) Copies of Vintage patterns from my personal collection (1930s-1970s) (granted expired copyright)
2) something made from a vintage pattern

What a fun idea! I have tons of vintage knitting patterns to share, too.

I second this! I have a bunch of vintage embroidery patterns available as well. Also, a whole stack of vintage 1940s Vanidades magazine embroidery patterns too!

I think as long as everything is along with the vintage line, it would be a great swap!
