Organizers: TwiztidBlood and sunspotted

*IMPORTANT PM INFO*: When sending PMs, please label them as OWS 44 with one of the following tags:

So when sending the questionnaire, the subject will read OWS 44 Approval. When notifying us about sending and receiving packages, add the corresponding tag. If you just have a general question, label it as that. This will keep things organized for us!
When sending a sent/received PM, please include the 'Send by' date so my craziness will stay at a minimum.

IF YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE, REMEMBER TO SEND YOUR INFO TO THE ORGANIZERS VIA PRIVATE MESSAGE AND NOT TO REPLY WITH IT HERE.

How This Swap Works:
Please READ CAREFULLY! This swap works differently than most!

Try to imagine a chain.  The first link is the first person whose wish list is on page 1 (Person A) - that will be the craftster member who was the very last wish list from Ongoing Wish Swap 43.

Now, we want to put another link in the chain.  People will read that list and see if there is something they want to/can make from the list.

Someone (Person B) will claim Person A for some item on their wish list.  They post a reply to the thread that says I claim Person A for [item].  This is my X claim (however many times they have picked someone for example, "this is my fourth wish, with one sent, and three received, (meaning that this is the fourth claim they've made, one is in transit to it's destination, and three of the items have been received by the people they previously claimed).  Also add your location, and any preferences or aversions I live in Wisconsin USA, I am a vegetarian, and I am allergic to wool.

IT'S REALLY IMPORTANT THAT YOU REPLY WITH YOUR STATUS WHEN YOU CLAIM SOMEONE!  This means you need to post who you are claiming and for what, how many claims you have made, including how many in transit and how many received, and your location/preferences/aversions.

Then comes the fun part!  After the introduction, Person B is the last link in the chain, and they post their wish list!!!  YOU CAN HAVE AS MANY ITEMS ON YOUR WISH LIST AS YOU WANT, HOWEVER YOU MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF SIX.  THE MORE ITEMS YOU LIST, THE BETTER YOUR CHANCES OF BEING CLAIMED QUICKLY.

(Please have your list ready, this swap moves very quickly!  Please include your country at the start of your wish list). Person B will also PM Person A to get her address so they can mail the item when it is finished.

Along comes Person C, who claims Person B for something on their list and the chain is built, link by link.  (If Person C wanted to make Person B a purse AND a stuffie, that would still count as ONE WISH.)  Then they post their list, and so on.

When you want to make a claim, you can ONLY pick from the very last wish list in the chain.  You can't pick anyone else in the chain - you can only connect to the very end of the chain, which is that last wish list posted.

After you have made your claim, you need to PM that person for their address.

Friends of Craftster are allowed 3 wishes at one time, others are allowed 2 wishes.  If this is your first swap, you are only allowed one wish until your craft is received for this month.  Do not choose over your given limit.
If you already have one claim that will be sent out late, please don't claim again until that one is sent out.

Become a Friend of Craftster!  Go here: http://www.craftster.org/subscribe.php

If you are at your limit of wishes, you can choose again once one of your partners receives, NOT when you send.
***Do not claim someone unless you can fulfill that wish to a high caliber***

Let's keep the quality high here. I don't want to receive PMs with people concerned over the lack of quality of their items.  Please, just work your hardest to keep the bar high on the quality of items here!  Don't choose just for the sake of choosing; choose to make someone else a really AWESOME wish!

Now if the thread gets in a rut for a few days/hours, the person who made the last wish should add to their list if they can think of anything else, until someone decides to craft for them. Please make sure this is not you!

Unsure of where to find wish ideas?  Try the previous ongoing wish swap galleries or any other gallery on craftster.  Look through your fellow crafters wist lists.

Sending/Communicating/Feedback:
YOU HAVE TWO WEEKS TO GET YOUR ITEM OUT THE DOOR.
IF YOU DO NOT SEND A MEDIUM ITEM YOU WILL BE GETTING NEGATIVE FEEDBACK.
( the medium can be a couple small items etc as long as it adds up to a medium )
( A medium item equals two hours of crafting time or 20$ worth of store bought items )

Please be communicative if you are having any issues. If you communicate you still need to send your item in a timely manner.  Communication does not mean you can send as late as you want.  After one week past the deadline you will have negative feedback.  This is only temporary as it will be changed back once you fulfill your obligation for late item(s).  Do not choose to craft an item if you do not think you can meet these deadlines.

THERE WILL BE FEEDBACK FOR THIS SWAP
I will be giving feedback in the following way:
-  great swapper: for those who follow all the rules
-  good/poor communication:  where applicable
-  sent late/early: where applicable
-  no dc number: failed to comply with the rule about using a delivery confirmation number for packages within your own country
- didn't post pictures: failed to post pictures of what they received without an adequate explanation to their partner
- did not follow item amount rule

Previous Swap Rounds:
If you are confused in any way by how this works, please look at some previous rounds:

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT POSTING PHOTOS IS STILL A REQUIREMENT FOR THIS SWAP.  IF YOU CAN'T TAKE PHOTOS, PLEASE MENTION IT TO THE PERSON WHO CLAIMS YOU.

TwiztidBlood - Will be your organizer, in charge of your claims, your sends and your receives, and your approval.
sunspotted - Will be co-organizer, in charge of the discussion thread.

Heres the first list up for claims!

I claim RondaS for fabric boxes!  Cheesy

Claim #2 / 1 outstanding / 0 sent / 0 received
-------------------------------------------------

I am in Florida in the USA!

Im in my mid thirties. My favorite colors are jewel tones like purple, green, blue, aqua. I like black, gunmetal and silver too. I love birds (all: owls, fat yard birdies, penguins, parrots, hawks etc). As far as fabric tastes go, I made a wist (see further down for link) of fabrics I love.  I love gaming like World of Warcraft or Myst. I like to read and am into fantasy art as well. Lord of the Rings is probably my all time favorite movie series. Star Wars comes in a close second though. Smiley

Allergies: I am allergic to cats. But if you just keep them away from the things you are sending, it should be fine. Smiley I am fairly certain I am allergic to mohair as well.

Dislikes: strong scents and cigarette smoke. I don't care for most pinks (although its starting to grow on me), orange, skulls, sock monkeys, pinup art or zombies.

Wists
I have two wist lists.  One is for things I'd love to have and the second is only of examples of fabric that I love.  Not that I wouldn't love to have fabric, but it is mostly for my partners so that you can see the types of fabrics I love.

Wists - the normal one of things I'd love to have:
http://www.wists.com/avesthel

Fabric wists - examples of fabrics I heart.
http://www.wists.com/avesthel2

-------------------------------------------------

Updated my wists with a whole bunch of new items!  Smiley

crafted

- Any of the amigurumis I have on my wists Smiley  Thank you RondaS for the dragon!!
- A poppet with long pink or blonde hair and fair skin (not pink, blue etc, but normal skin color)
- A wisty surprise! http://www.wists.com/avesthel
- dyed wool that I can card into batts (but not mohair as I am allergic)
- cover for my sewing machine. Sounds silly, but I usually end up sewing things for other people and not myself. I really like this one with the sewn on embellishments, or maybe a bird embroidered on it from my wists. http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=290914.msg3336611;topicseen#msg3336611
- wire wall cross with stone similar to the one on my wists
- stained glass owl
- an owl themed surprise!
- tea towels with birds embroidered on them (I have some bird embroidery ideas that I love on my wists)
- knit or crochet shawl (in black)
- ceramic / pottery bowls all sizes, preferably natural earthy tones
- leather bound journal
- roving to spin
- jewelry from my wists
- This owl wall clock - http://www.wists.com/avesthel/4c475ec58764e7f24d7d1297bf85244f?offset=0
- gocco or lino pressed cards in birds or simple botanical themes
- thread catcher like this one, but maybe in a different fabric http://www.wists.com/avesthel/fc66aaa3daea89d3920b4ae4df761d86?offset=0

supplies

- bookbinding supplies
- tea towels to embroider
- metal bird or owl charms
- random metal charms
- skeleton/vintage keys
- scrabble tiles
- sock yarn
- heart shaped hole punch
- superwash wool yarn
- glitzy stuff for adding to wool batts!  I love firestar and icicle top, but angelina is very welcome too.  Any color as I want to play with them all!   Smiley
- beads - glass and unique small/medium sized beads, but not seed beads.  Im wanting to add them to yarn as I spin.
- vintage buttons (with or without shanks)
- buttons - flat ones without the shanks, lots of fun colors, sizes etc  Smiley
- roving to spin

extras
- chocolate pocky
- coffee from your area of the world

Thank you in advance if you choose me!

Fabric wists - examples of fabrics I heart.

I claim TwiztedBlood for cat-themed stitch markers, spinning fiber, and 1.5" squares.

This is my first claim this round

I'm in Massachusetts US, I do mostly knit, but I also crochet, spin, and used to cross-stitch, embroider and a little bit of tatting. I like the cooler colors (blues, purples, greens) but a little oomph of the red/orange/yellows doesn't hurt either. Nothing holiday themed please - I like being able to use my things all the time, not just a few weeks a year

My list, in no particular order (links are examples, not requirements  Cheesy )

Crafts

decorated (and absorbent) kitchen towels, potholders, etc

tawashis (japanese style scrubbies - small-ish, acrylic yarn discloths)

reusable grocery bags with long handles or a similar size tote bag

expandable shopping bag  examples here and here

a drawsting pouch with pockets

pretty 'yarn wrapper' band labels - to wrap around skeins of handspun so I know what kind, how many yards, etc

cotton soap sack with handmade soaps

stained glass stitch markers

handmade soap/gel/scrub stuff (not for bathtub soaking though, please)

solid-colored brooomstick skirt - or any not-too-tight-to-walk-in skirt -  in dark-ish neutrals (ex- grey, eggplant, pine, black, navy)

cotton 'pettipants' aka a slip that looks like shorts to wear under skirts

lounge-y shorts/pants (~43" waist)

slightly bigger than credit-card-size wristlet with outside pocket for ID badge, this idea

crochet-hook book-style zip-close holder for tall hooks. I have some that are longer than usual so they're are too tall to fit in the other holders I've got. (I think they're about 7" / 18cm long, but I can let you know for sure)

floral fabric covered tacks T

rubik's cube stuffie (this idea)

double-stitch markers or any stitch markers for small needles (US size 3, 3.25mm or smaller)

cloth panty liners

A pretty, but not really lacy, ladies crocheted/knit/sewn/beadedwire/etc kippah this in one style I like but in purples and/or blues.

small totes (about 6"x6", 15cmx15cm) with longish handles - I use them to hold spinning fiber when I use a handspindle

Supplies

Flex knitting needles (they look like circulars that have been cut in half)

anything to help me improve wire-wrapping beading kind of techniques. I'm self-taught and the teacher doesn't always know what's going on Cheesy

pretty tatting shuttles (shorter than 3"/7.5cm)

Casein Knitting needles

New Pathways for Sockknitters book by Cat Bordhi
Cool Socks, Warm Feet by Lucy Neatby
Andean Folk Knits by Marcia Lewandowski
(pre-owned books in good condition are just fine with me)

something from, or based on, my wists

Extras
your favorite funny book (please no 'funny by being mean/angry/insulting' kind of funny)
1 1/2" (4cm) cotton fabric squares (any color except neon-bright, and no holiday themes please)
'souvenir' bookmarks
Chocolate, plain or with nuts (unless you want me to share with the hubby - he likes the mint & fruit-filled chocolates)
tea, hot chocolate mixes
