I was in dire need of a new pencil case (ie: currently all stationery items are strewn at the bottom of my bag), and thus, the super cute Elephant Pencil Case was born! WOO!

I reverse appliqued the elephants onto the green vine fabric (this tute helped a LOT: http://darnkat.wordpress.com/reverse-applique-tutorial/) so I could have elephants on both sides, but not the overkill of the super busy fabric (though I do LOVE it). Onwards for fun pictures:

Back and front together:

With a couple of pens (excuse my hair in the bottom right hand corner... the pesky stuff is always in the way!):

Thanks for looking, let me know what you think!

You've done a lovely job using that amazing fabric! Where did you ever find it? I would love to get some for myself. (Sometimes overkill is just what a person wants.)

OK - you hooked me in here with the subject line of
Elephant Pencil Case.

I adore elephants.  Where on earth did you find this fantastic fabric?
Tell us, please.

And I love your pencil case.  It is creative, fun and functional.

Thanks guys!

Yeah, I'm totally in love with the fabric! I almost squealed when I saw it (and I'm not normally a squealing kind of girl)

I live in Sydney, Australia, and one of my absolute favourite stores in the WORLD is Spotlight - which is pretty much any crafter's dream - lots, and lots of everything crafty... Anywho, saw the fabric there for $2 a metre and I was SUPER impressed, and HAD to purchase - yeah!

I gave my pencil case it's first run today in the real world (well, as close to the real world as uni gets), and i totally love it!
