Meet Ava.  Ava is a sky monster.  We found Ava on a sunny day, simply because she got stuck in stormy day mode.
If you've never heard of a sky monster before, I'm not surprised.  Sky monsters are not a well known type of monster, simply because they normally blend in with the sky (much like a chameleon would change to blend in with its surroundings)  Sky monsters spend their days lounging in the clouds, eating snow and star dust.  They also like to play cloud hockey, they use hail pucks and star nets.
Well,  on with the picks of Ava the Sky monster.

Trying to blend in with the sky she can see, but failling.

Loungin' at the computer-She's facinated with the idea of such a thing.

a pic of the back:

Now heres the story of her conception.  When this chalenge was announced, I asked my 3.5 year old if I should make a land monster, sea monster or a Sky monster.  He responded Sky monster.  Now that led me down many a path  (including dragons, and that Neverending story flying dog)  and I thought no, it has to have 3 eyes, son agreed.  Originally she was suposed to be sky blue with coulds, but my felting kit still has not shown up in the mail (and I ordered on the 1st.  don't worry its all settled and should be here by monday  :/ ). and all I had was grey on hand so, she's grey, cloudy and moody looking lol.  She's actually my second attempt.  She turned out way better then the first lol.
Anyway.  hopefully you like her and the story behind her.

Cute! She reminds me a bit of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Sweet story behind her, too.  Smiley

You should definitely do a web search on the flying spaghetti monster. I love his noodley appendage.

The stories that come with these are the best! The lounging pose is my favorite :3

I just googled the flying spaghetti monster... Very interesting.  And I can see a minor resemblance, but  nothing overly striking.   I supose the fact that this monster also lives in the sky and is generally invisible, probably helps the correlation.  But Ava has nothing to do with the Flying spaghetti monster.  I claim 100% original conception.
