... I dropped my Clarinet and broke it. =[ Ok, well it wasn't technically at band camp... but it was a good title.  Grin

I played Clarinet from 5th-7th grade until I dropped it and put a crack through it that wasn't repairable. It's been sitting in the closet for, oh... 10 years. I've had the idea to turn it into a lamp for a very long time and I finally got around to it!

I had to remove the keys from the cracked peice and re-paint it to cover up the yellow super glue my Dad used to try and fix it. The color matched perfectly and you can't even tell. =)

So... here is the finished result!

(Please ignore the wrinkled curtains, which my boyfriend ever so kindly pointed out to me. Whoops. =X)

The lamp base, which I made from two cheapo wood things I got at Michael's, some paint, and a peice of fabric which I decoupaged on.

Another angle.

Oh wow, my wall looks dirty. =/

I painted it to match my spiffy bedside table which I re-finished from a thrift store find. =)

I hope you like it! I'm so proud.

Okay so once again I am completely redoing my pictures. Got tired of photobucket, the only reason I used it was for here so I decided I will just use Craftster's photo uploader. So while I am switching over my photo links will be broken. Message me if there is a post you would like the pics for.

Hehehe... thanks everyone.  Cheesy

I'm working on a new peice of furniture as we speak. I can't stop! Lol. And the sad thing is... I have no room for it in my room. But I'm doing it anyway.  Undecided
