Mardis Gras Costume

I was part of a parade for Mardi Gras and made a costume- bottoms, bra and headpiece. It took FOREVER and is not even as detailed as I wanted. But for the most part I'm happy with it.


For the Bra I hand sewed some leaf trim, beads and sequins. It was very time consuming.
For the bottoms i made an elastic belt. I added the leaf trim and then the hanging beads. I actually had to string those myself and that alone took 4 hours!
The headpiece was a very quick project. I am adding more white feathers so it is fuller.




I did get professional photos of this costume so I will try and post some with better detail.
