Is this possible?

A couple of months ago I spotted some really bold red & white fabric and picked it up for about 3 bucks. About 2 yards of it. I get it home, launder it, and read the sidebar:

it says " maija isola  'lokki' c marimekko by suomi finland 1961"

Even if it isn't really from 61, it's still pretty cool!  Tongue

So, I'm not sure if I'm bragging, showing off, or what, but I had to share with people I knew would appreciate Marimekko!! Cos nobody in my (real) life gives a rats ass!!

I don't know!! I don't want to cut it up! Right now, it's on my wall- since I', short on wall decs, I might just leave it there. The design seems like it was printed crookedly, so I'm having a hard time positioning it  Undecided

Yeah holy crap is right! It would cost about $100 to make anything with new fabric from them, and that's before you even got started counting your time and such! I wouldn't do it, even if I could afford it. I'd screw it up and waste it. I am lame-o.

Wowee, what a deal!

I like it on the wall. Maybe make a thin, lightweight frame to hang it on. Looking at the picture it almost seems like the pattern is meant to be a little uneven. I would think it might also make a cool bedspread, but I would be scared to death that I would spill something on it.

Enjoy!

yea, but yours was cheaper  Grin

Yep, I was thinking the same thing about the unevenness- I'll be making a trip to the wood store soon, for now, tacky tack will do!

any advice for stretching it onto a frame? Staple gun?
