I made this out of polymer clay over a wooden flowerpot with a ball on top. I didn't put anything in there for scale, but the whole thing is about 3" high.

I love your viking.  My husbands family would go crazy for it.  They're a bunch of Norwegians and have this viking helmet they swap around taking pics in.  This would be a big hit at our family reunions.

I do love that hair... she is super cute.  Er, I mean... scary and viking-ish.

I love the clay you used for the helmet... or glaze, or whatever makes it metallic.  Very cool.  And the little pot is a great idea!

That is fantastic. My family is half Norwegian and my younger brother is Viking mad at the moment.  He would probably trying to figure out how to make a life size version of the shield very shortly after seeing the picture.  Great job!
