My friend is a body builer and I have the honor of making her tiny pieces- posing suits, swimwear, costumes and other dancewear. This time, for one of her contests, she has to do a fitness routine to a song she picked out. (The fitness routines are usually themed.) This time she is doing a dance to a Prince song! So needless to say-all of her suits and piecse EVERYTHING is purple! I posted the 2 purple bikinis in 'costumes completed' if you want to sneek a peek at those! Here are pics of the Prince suit. I am really happy how it turned out!! Enjoy-

this is the sketch I went off of for my piece

Here's the finished vest/top

fun arm stuff

Here's the HOW TO part:

yup- pair of jeans size 1 for my pattern!

chop chop

pins everywhere

used the ribbon as my guide and then chalked it out as well as chalked the "v"

chop chop

I used the cut away part here for the arm cuffs!

chopped the 'v'

stitched on the waistband and leg band

back

hanky had a solid satin on the back side w/ a rolled hem on the edges

collar

chop chop

pins everywhere

added the tie (tie is made w/ same fabric as backside of hanky!)

I will post pics of the pants when finished- and hopefully get some shots of my friend in it!! Enjoy!

So hot!

I LOVE the pants/shorts.
If they weren't crushed velvet, I'd want to rock them in the summertime with some ridiculous kicks.
They look really stylin.

Your friend is so lucky to have you!
