Hey there, Craftsters!

I'm really interested in working with recyclable materials. Plastic bags, bottle caps (the metal kind), glass scrap, newspaper/magazines, used tarps, ect. Anything really.

Problem is I don't know anyone that recycles! Would anyone know a place I can go to find any materials and how I would go about asking for such things from places?  Cheesy

Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: Oh wow, this old, and still on the front page. For anyone else looking for recycle items, the Habitat for Humanity Restores are simply amazing!

Ask on Freecycle, and craigslist.
I have a ton of glass in my garage waiting for republic services to give me bins (HA HA) and also a ton of newsprint and mags, if you want.

Go to bars and ask them to save you bottle caps,  some have a special bucket hanging under a wall mounted bottle opener, and they'll dump them right into your waiting hands.

Hi,

Don't know if you're still looking for items - but for magazines  - - you can get them at most librarys for 10 cents a copy.
