Chunky Book Swap Rd 2?

I'd love to be involved in a round 2; I'll organize though I'm not sure I get the "tip-in with a twist" concept though concerning the dates?? Maybe just extending the crafting period and having everyone send all at once would be easier? Or people could have the option of mailing as they go but have to have all chunky pages sent out by the deadline.

Also maybe everyone could decide what theme they want for their own books rather than having one theme for everyone.

Just a few ideas. Anyone else interested???

Wow that sounds like a great swap - a huge commitment though. I read part of the thread and it sounded like everyone enjoyed it. And they had an awesome gallery. It also sounded like crafty dame was thinking about hosting another round. Not sure if that's in the works or not.

Some of the comments were that people were interested in a second round, but would prefer it be set up more like a "regular swap." Someone mentioned setting it up like the ATC swaps where it's a series of swaps, swapping just a few pages at a time, rather than have it last months and sending out every two weeks.

I think the tip in with a twist was possibly another swap going on at the same time?

I might be interested, depending on timing and how it is set up. I usually don't do swaps where you only get two weeks crafting time, it's not enough for me. Lately, my preference has been 4 weeks of crafting time!

I definatly think it should be just a few pages at a time. and having it span over a time period. like the alphabet atc swap.

How are the ATC swaps set up? I've never been in one.

craftydame and I took turns organizing this alphabet.

you make 3 cards, send one to each of your partners and get one from each back.
then when the swap is finished, another round starts, and do the same thing again.
the organizers try to make sure you arent paired with the same people all the time so you get variety.

I think the chunky page swap would work excellent that way

That sounds a lot more simple and wouldn't drag out the swap like the first round. Though, and this might just be me, but I'd want to do more than 3 at a go..

Maybe I will offer an option where you can say you want to send between 3 to 5(?) and then group accordingly.

I sent a pm to craftydame to see if she would be interested in organizing, but if she's not I think I'll get this swap started in mid-March. What is the crafting period for the atc swaps?

I would say, 3 - 6 just so you are working with even numbers.

craftydame is going on vacation in mid march, so she wont be around around that time.

If you need a co organizer to help out with me, Im happy to help.

i was planning on organizing round 2, but now i'm unexpectedly going to visit family in march, so i'd have to push it back quite a bit. i told sheepblue to go ahead with round 2, and i'll just organize round 3!

I think I'm going to open up this swap for sign-ups March 9th - March 20th, just about two weeks. I'd love to have you help organize Twiztid!

Craftydame had some great advice for how to set this round of chunky swap up. How about setting up groups of 4 or 5, and give a month of crafting time. That's approximately a week a page. People could send them as they went along, or they could send them all at once, just as long as they sent by the deadline.

Some people might to make more (like me  ) so they choose to be in two groups, if they thought they could handle more pages in that time period, and any new swappers would be restricted to one group.

As for the theme, like I mentioned before I thought it would be kind of fun for everyone to come up with their own theme.
