I made one of those amazing love letter boxes for a swap and am so super proud of it that I wanted to post it here as well Grin

I used two characters from the program Firefly for the names and the chinese symbols inside are for Serenity (the name of the ship) and Love.

Questions, comments, criticism, advice all appreciated and wanted!

teehee thats cute. I can totally see that Simon would be the kind of guy to write love letters. Man i was happy when I saw the movie and they FINALLY hooked up. lol.

aside from that, the premise of the box is very cute, and I love the effect it gives!! would you mind sharing how you did it?

Thank you Cheesy

I loved making it, was labourious but not difficult. I wrecked my brand new cutting board lol.

I like to imagine Simon keeps them hidden under his bunk lol.

I popped a description of how I did this in anothe love letter box post but here it is as well:

I bought an A2 (large) piece of board and cut it out into the same size as my envelopes.

Made the envelopes 'aged' with coffee (as you can probably tell that bit didn't turn out so well... Although they looked better than when they were bright white).

Then I cut a hole out of one and using the centre piece cut out holes inn all the bits of board, some off centre, some diagonally etc.

Then put the envelopes on them and cut the paper off the holes.

Then a lot of glueing and making sure that the centre is all lined up.

For the top I just made some little hinges with left over card and put put them in between some envelopes.

Glue ribbon on, line the inside and done

Its super fun to make and would look a little bit different everytime

I still cant decide if that makes sense!!

It looks great!  I'm just sorry to tell you, but the character for love is wrong, it doesn't have the heart character inside of it.  I think it means to receive though, so it still works for a letter box ^_^
