Gotta find something to do up here in Alaska

My husband got me stitch cards for christmas and I really wanted to make a cable hat using one of the patterns in the deck. Here's what I ended up with:

I wanted really long flaps but I don't know what to do with the ends. Any suggestions would be great.
I've never had to decrease while cabling before so it's a little bumpy toward the top. My godmother gave me the brooch for a present so I thought it would look nice on the front of the hat.
I used my trusty ear flap hat pattern, which can be found here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=21234.0

I LOVE IT! You did a great job designing that.  I am not sure what you could do with the flaps.  I like them how they are!
