You're all doomed!  Cheesy  No one come after me when you're addicted like I was!  When your hands are throbbing from cutting so much fabric (razor edged scissors were a lifesaver!) and your knuckles are all scraped up from rubbing on the backing!  I'm sorry in advance!!  So worth it though!!  Cheesy

FYI -
--The locker hooks are right by the crochet hooks at JoAnn's!
--Also, my lovely husband spilled coffee all over the first rug I made, when I quit crying about it, it DID survive 2 trips in the washer and still looks good!
--If you're anywhere near Kzoo, Michigan I've got a TON of rugmakers yarn mill ends (HUGE SPOOLS) that I'll give you if you want it - get it outta here!  Tongue  It works great for locker hooking!

I love your rug! It is beautiful! I was just thinking about cool, diy area rugs for my apartment next year, I think you've inspired me.

Also, I have to say that I'm a student at WMU! Yay for Kzoo crafters! I wasn't sure there were any more out here...

Thanks!

The_Futile -- I know there's lots of Kzoo crafters, we just never meet because we're always home making things  Cheesy  I was serious about the rug yarn, if you'd like some just let me know!  I have a bunch and I won't be able to use it all in 10 lifetimes!

I know someone who makes small pieces and sews them together.  She uses dishcloths that have a really open weave.  I'm reusing old t-shirts and shirts to make mine.  Lots of fun and you don't have to worry about the fabric pulling out like you do with prodded rugs.
