So I was wandering through JoAnn's one day and found a Locker Hook.  It looked like a giant sewing needle with a crochet hook on the end.  2 of my very favorite things!   I asked a couple people if they knew what you do with it.  No one did.  So of course, I bought it!  Cheesy  Took it home and googled it.  SO EASY!  Unfortunately they are pricey to make, so this is my last one.  I think this is #6!

I'm a first-timer here in the Home Sweet Home forum - I'd lvoe to hear what you think!

If you Google "Locker Hooking" there were a bunch of great resources showing how to make them - it is so easy.  It's very time consuming though.  It was expensive since I used knit fabric, many many many many many many many yards of it!  The yarn used to "hook" it and the backing was inexpensive though.  I'm totally guessing here, but I think I used somewhere around 20-30 yds. of fabric, possibly more.  It's very heavy!  So squishy under my feet!

This is awesome! I've never even heard of locker hooking before but it looks like something I'll have to try.

Oh my goodness I love that!! I am fairly certain that I must try this.. and look more into it... do you have an idea of approximate dimensions of your rug? Great work!!

It looks very similar to latch hooking.

Very pretty, it is.  Looks like hours of work.
