And there were. And they were good. And these lips could sing, sing to us oh lips!

So last month while my sister was visiting she taught me the basics on how to cross stitch and I fell in love with it. For my 5th project I decided I wanted to do something really spiffy, and I chose to do Patricia Quinn's lips from Rocky Horror. I found a picture online and made it into a pattern and then I started stitching. Hours and hours later this is the result.

Other photos of the lips can be found in my cross stitch set on flickr. I'm still just a beginner so I'm kinda slow. I think this took around the area of 15ish hours. There are 15 different colors in here, and I had some trouble because I'm pretty much color blind to subtle differences between reds and oranges, lol.

SERIOUSLY awesome.  They look so REAL...I literally thought that it was just the lips cut out and glued on some cardstock...then the page loaded and I was like "woah.  cross-stitch!"
