Hi everyone

I bought a couple of 3" flexi-hoops online, as I liked the idea of having teensy bits of artwork everywhere, but now they have arrived and I have no idea how to get them apart! I've tried unscrewing the hook and rolling the plastic off but it just aint happening - is this because they're stiff as they're new or I'm just a complete idiot and doing it wrong?!

Any help would be much appreciated, especially if it stops me feeling like such an idiot Tongue

I use these a couple of times and the hoop part rolls off. I wish I could explain this better.

I don't think you are doing anything wrong at all!  Some of these flexi-hoops can be very stiff at first too.

Maybe if you warmed the hoop up first by holding it over a boiling pot of water for 30 seconds or so, the stretchy outside plastic bit would be more cooperative?  I noticed the smaller ones tend to get wicked stiff and difficult in the winter if they are cool, but it rarely happens during the warmer months.

Best of luck- that initial separation is always the most troublesome!

Looking to de-stash cross stitch magazines, particularly Cross Stitch Gold or New Stitches?  Please drop me a line!  I'd love to swap or buy some missing from my library!

Thanks!
It took a bit of effort (and some sore thumbs  Sad ) but I managed to get the hoop off and sew my first one (I'll be putting pics up when all three are done)

I didn't get round to trying the hot water method, but if any of the others are as stiff I'll definately give it a try
