A few months back I bought a job lot of picture frames from a charity shop. Quite a few of them had existing cross stitches in them.
One of those pieces was this:


When I considered the work that had gone into this, I felt it was too good to waste. So I pondered on what to do with it and after a couple of weeks the answer became clear. A few more weeks of stitching and here you go!


Our amazing friends from the Victorian era have realised that, yes Sir, they can boogie, and are strutting their stuff at the finest disco in town!

I'm pretty happy with the way it came out - the floor was just as I imagined it and while I kinda cheated on the background a bit, hopefully it looks like they're in a nightclub. The mirrorball is done using shiny and light effect threads (which are a nightmare to use) and kinda sparkles in the light.
