I just realized we have been kinda OT on a couple of the recent threads. Not soaping OT but OT from the original poster's thread. And that's mostly my fault cause I'm chatty lol. So stick it here~ Some of our recent babbles spread amongst a multitude of threads~goat's milk soap, craft fairs, hp, lavender eo varieties, family members using your soap. Ok GO!

Well, you know, for future reference!

Anybody have a good cheap source for high quality fair trade unrefined shea butter?? (I don't ask for much, huh?)

Heya mullerslane, were you saying you liked Soaper's Choice oils? I was thinking that they weren't such great quality in the past but wanted some more feedback. I would love to buy the fair trade shea, but I would get 5 lbs for $37. Soaper's Choice I could get 10 lbs for $42. Input?

I've not ordered shea from Mike Lawson (SoapersChoice/Columbus Foods), but I order all my bulk oils (except for my safflower and that's because he doesn't have high linoleic) from him and have always been satisfied.

Looks like Mike offers a couple of unrefined shea.  One that is just unrefined and one that is unrefined from Ghana.  I don't know if either of these are fair trade.  Send Mike an email and ask him.  He's a truthful guy.

Oh ok, I only saw the unrefined Ghana one. I will send him and email and ask him about the unrefined yellow! Thanks!
