I had been wishing to make one for a while... and now, it proudly hangs on my bedroom wall! Woohooo!
On the closeup you can see the paper I used for the background... I might add some more eyelet hooks to hang more earrings too.

So... what do you think?

I really like this idea.  Hanging more than one of differint sizes and shapes  and in different frames could accomodate a larger collection and could be very interesting and attractive conversation piece.  I like the idea of the hooks.  The background paper is very attractive.

Wonderful job!  I love this idea.  My jewelry is crammed in a small jewelry box & I never see it.  I just don't switch jewelry often, but it would be great to get to look at my stuff everyday.  I may even remember to swap it more often.

I'd love to do a personal swap for this knit Death Flake hat

I LOVE this! I'm definitely going to have to make something like it, I'm moving soon so I've been stocking up on frames and this will just be a great project for me! Thanks for the inspiration.

I have seen a ton of jewelry holders, and this one is totally my favorite. Love it!!

What's behind the paper, holding up the hooks?

Thank you all for your nice comments!

I used the paper to cover canvas board, which I screwed the hooks into... The hooks feel really sturdy.

Since I wanted to maximize "hanging space", I kinda ripped out the wood and fabric mat board that was part of the frame... and, as I later realized, was left with frame format that no standard canvas board would fit into... Ummmm yeah.....

So I decided to attach it straight to the back of the frame instead of "inside" the frame... Since the hooks poked out through the other side, I screwed wooden beads onto the pointy parts so everything's now nice and tidy on the back...

This is gorgeous, though with all the jewellery I have I'd have to make about a million of them [grin]

...though that's actually not a bad idea. I could use a load of different kinds of frames and have a whole wallfull! *plots*
