Let's make magic!

My room mate recently made a set of coasters and a coaster set holder out of polymer clay with litte circular decorations that looked like pineapple rings.  When I told her that she didn't believe me, but I couldn't get that inspiration out of my head.  So on this lazy Saturday afternoon when I should be doing other things I painted this great picture:

I was so excited when I finished it.  I dunno if I am going to put it in my room or in our family room down stairs.  (I just looked around my room and have zero wallspace..so down stairs it goes)

let me know what you think Smiley

Cute rings, it reminds me of a pineapple upside down cake as well.

I think it lacks a focal point though...maybe you could add something to give it a more definitive visual interest.

looking at it I want to see more of the pineapples overlap the sides, even one more tidbit on the middle of the left side will get rid of the sense that the edge of the pattern is exactly on the left and top sides. Being a pattern piece you don't necessarily need a focal point.

I love this!  Cheesy  It reminds me of a birthday cake my mom made me years and years ago... great memories.  Smiley  My mom made the best cakes.

yeah, the over lapping of the sides was a secondary idea which was horrible (should have thougth about it first!!) but i agree, I think there is room for more to over lap.. I will bust out the paints again for this one..thanks guys!!
