I made these for the Undies Swap-Favorite Themes. One of the themes my partner listed was cryptozoology. The yeti/abominable snowman falls into this category. And, since my partner and I are about the same age, we both probably watched the Rudolph Christmas movie as kids, featuring Bumble, the Abominable Snowmonster.

The front:

The back (of undies- shirt back is plain):

I used store bought undies sent by my partner. The front of the top is fake fur and felt appliqued on. The bottoms have star patches ironed on (to represent the star that Bumble puts on the tree in the movie) and his name stenciled onto the back with fabric paint (using the freezer paper method). My sister has already requested a shirt of her own Wink

As recipient of said undies, I can vouch for their awesomeness. I am in love with them.

I love it! The Bumble is my absolute favourite character (Christmas or otherwise). You did such a realistic reconstruction!

Thanks, everyone! I was afraid I'd mess up the face, so I had the art teacher at school sketch it out for me. Then, I cut up the sketch to use as the pattern.

I was a bit worried about getting fur all over the house, but I drew the pattern on the back, and then cut it with an Exacto knife. It worked really well, and I had almost no bits of fur flying around!

These are awesome!  I remember watching that movie as a kid and loved Bumble.

Thanks! I need to make shirts for my sister and me, plus a hoodie for my brother's dog (his name is Bumbles). I have the template that I used somewhere in my craft disaster, but I have to find it. So, it'll be a while...

While I was searching for something this afternoon, I came across the pattern/template I used to make the face of Bumble. If anyone is interested in it, I can try to post it. If I can scan something at work, I'll try to scan it in. If not, I can try to take a picture of it.
