I live by the coast, so there is an endless source of free materials for crafting, which is really good. Anyway, I live in a pretty artsy town, so I've been making jewlery to sell at the little shops downtown. The earrings and bracelet were really easy, you just drill a little hole near the top and add a jump ring for earrings, or use foxtail wire and crimping beads for a bracelet.

I love your jewelry!  I live in Cleveland, so it makes me long for warm weather and a beach.  I think I'm going to have to move to Florida or at least go on vacation.  I'd love to see more of your work, keep posting!

I love those earrings! I think oysters are absolutely gorgeous. It would be really cool if you glued a pearl bead into each oyster.

That's such a good idea! You are genius, just like everyone on craftster...

Orchid, I live in CA, and would suggest visiting San Diego. It's absolutely beautiful.

Would anyone be interested in a sea-themed swap, perhaps?

hmm an oyster would be rather sharp and hurt your head if it rubbed aganist it, if they were make into earrings ( the outer of the shell is made up of multiple layers, making it rough) for the most part.

the earrings i am 99% sure are mussels!!

great i job. I also live on the coast ( canada's), and anything like your work would be a hit around here!

True that, they are mussels!

Oysters are pretty much sharp-edged blobs...not even pretty blobs at that.
