several years ago my coworker gave me 2 sets of well worn 70s sheets. she'd grown up with them and lived with them for literally decades. during a move she wanted to pare down her stuff. she gave me the sheets to craft with.

fast forward to 2007. she is mom to a 2-year-old AND has another bun in the oven. she commissioned a little bag to carry a few dipers and a packet of wipes. (i had never seen such a bag, nor did i know you could purchase wipes in a pocket-sized container.) now she has PART of those beloved sheets back... albeit in a brand new format. i wasn't the inventor of this design. there's a whole company who makes these cute "dipees and wipees" bags.

Cool story and great looking diapee/wipee bag!  I have been keeping my diapers and wipes in a big zippered bag that came with a diaper bag that I parted with long ago (since I figured out how to make one how I wanted it).  I need to make one of these now to match!  ....bumps that project up on the to do list... joslin: if you want, i can post the measurements of this bag. but, since you have ready access to dipers and those wipee thing-a-ma-bobs, it might be easier for you to make your own pattern. this was a total shot in the dark for me.

This is exactly the project I was looking for! I wanted something my sister would receive at her baby shower and actually use! Thanks for sharing your idea. Nice idea for reusing old sheets.

Grin Yay! Love those sheets and the whole concept. It's so convenient, while being pretty too. It doesn't scream: DIAPERS! either.  Cheesy
